While working in retirement living, Candice discovered that the average person didn't want to move to a retirement village or aged care home.  They eventually compromised where and how they wanted to live and moved into a retirement village to access the security offered as they got older. In Australia, we currently don’t have any better options for retirement support.

She thought about this predicament while studying a Bachelor in Healthy Ageing and working as the sales manager of a luxury retirement village in Brisbane. There had to be a way to empower people to age in their own homes while still giving them the benefit of retirement village services, so I created the Age Well Club to offer just that.

Candice says that by staying in our homes and communities, we get to rewrite the rules on retirement living. By joining the Age Well Club, you get to keep your autonomy, community, friends, family, home and home equity while still having support available when you need it.

Why is the Age Well Club based in Wynnum/Manly? Did you know that according to the 2022 Australia Bureau of Statistics, we have 11,200 people over the age of 60 living in Wynnum and Manly. That equates to 23.7% of the entire Wynnum/Manly population. According to the World Health Organisation, that number will almost double by 2050.
